candle making wicks
Candle wick help please?
i am making a candle and i have no idea how to make the wick. Can i make it from cotton...i don't have boric acid to soak it in so is it safe to douse the cotton wick in wax and use it as a wick or does it have to be soaked to boric acid? Please help!!

The boric acid method is preferred, but not necessary. You can dip string or cord into warm wax to coat, then allow the wicks to dry on waxed paper.
